Leader: Hail and Welcome to the Earth Blessing Web Ritual!

Leader can ask for volunteers to call corners, or read from the following invocations:

Hail and welcome to the spirits of water! Nurturing, nourishing and quenching the thirst of our bodies and of the earth, we welcome your creative energy. Hail and welcome water!

Hail and welcome to the spirits of air! Tickling, moving, cooling the extremities of our bodies and of the earth, we welcome your intellectual energy. Hail and welcome air!

Hail and welcome to the spirits of fire! Warming, burning, heating the core of our bodies and of the earth, we welcome your passionate energy. Hail and welcome fire!

Hail and welcome to the spirits of earth! Stabilizing, feeding, sustaining the needs of our bodies and the cycles, we welcome your grounding energy. Hail and welcome earth!

Hail and welcome to the spirits of community! Connecting, interweaving, linking the purposes of our bodies and of the earth, we welcome your uniting energy. Hail and welcome community!

Gaia, we welcome you to this circle. You feed us with your body, clothe us with your blossoms, house us with your arms, inspire us with your beauty. Be here with us and receive our thanks and blessing for all that you do. Hail and Welcome Gaia!

Leader: Today we gather as a wide-spread community to weave a web of healing for the earth, our sacred mother. For all the blessings she gives to us, we give thanks and send our loving blessings out into the universe to sustain and heal the body of our Great Mother.

Leader: We will be chanting our love, thanks and blessings to the Great Mother. (start drum rhythm) If you did not bring a drum, we encourage you to drum on your own body, or on the earth itself. As you drum and chant, envision the strands of our energy connecting with those from other locations, forming a great glowing web of blessing and healing for Gaia, Great Mother, Mother Earth.

Suggested chants (but feel free to use your own!) Chant for 10-15 minutes, or until you feel done.

Earth Mother
Earth Mother, we sing to your body,
Earth Mother, we sing to your bones,
Earth Mother, we honor your spirit,
Earth Mother, we honor your stones.

Leader: Great Goddess Gaia, Mother Earth; thank you for joining us today to receive our love, thanks and blessings. We thank you for the continued love and blessings that you shower upon our lives.

Leader: We thank, but do not say farewell to the spirits of community, water, air, fire and earth. May those spirits stay alive within our souls and inspire our thoughts, actions and words. As above, so below. As within, so without. So mote it be!

Close circle with:

May the Circle be Open
May the circle be open, but unbroken,
May the love of the Goddess be ever in your heart.
Merry meet and merry part, and merry meet again!
